Information and Communication Technology

The Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capability of the school has been grown substantially over the last few years.  The school benefits from a fibre-optic backbone supporting a network connecting the campus, which includes teacher laptops/PCs in all classrooms, two dedicated computer suites in Secondary plus additional bookable suites in the library and Primary School.

Interactive white boards are used throughout the primary classrooms and also in several secondary rooms.  The network is fully wi-fi enabled which allows for wireless connection by laptops and tablets, and the school actively encourages students to Bring Their Own Device (BYOD) to help their research and studies.  The school also has over one hundred iPads which can be booked out by teachers for classroom activities as required.

The school has made significant strides over the past few years to promote digital resources rather than paper copies.  Most of the communication takes place through email and newsletters are sent in digital formats.  ManageBac is used by the school to map the curriculum documentation and the parent portal is available to parents so that they may see, at any time, the work and assignments that have been set and the assessments and reports that have been recorded.
